Handmade MURASAME Katana Sword - 41 T10 Steel Razor Sharp Blade
This high-quality sword is designed with a focus on practicality and craftsmanship, adhering to traditional standard katana specifications and techniques. All its components can be disassembled and reassembled like an authentic samurai sword.
The blade is crafted from T10 steel, which provides an excellent foundation for hardness. The steel has undergone a process of clay tempering and heat treatment, further enhancing the blade's hardness, reaching an optimal level for optimal performance.
Featuring the Unkubi-Zukuri blade structure, this sword, without compromising its functionality, incorporates a BOHI (blood groove) that sculpts the blade and scientifically reduces its weight, making the blade lighter and significantly improving the overall feel.
While eschewing expensive mirror polishing, the blade undergoes a standard polishing process that nonetheless ensures sharpness and cutting ability, resulting in exceptional value.
High-quality fittings are carefully assembled to further elevate the quality of this katana sword. The tsuba (hand guard) is made of premium iron, boasting both beauty and durability. The habaki (blade collar) and seppa (spacer) are handcrafted from brass, ensuring strength and stability.
The tsuka (handle) is constructed from hardwood, covered in genuine ray skin and wrapped with high-quality ito (cord). The fuchi (collar) and kashira (pommel) are crafted from premium brass, complemented by matching menuki (ornaments) on each side. Two mekugi (pegs) are used to securely fix the tang of the sword, allowing for easy disassembly.
The hardwood saya (scabbard) is meticulously crafted to fit the blade, preventing any rattling or shaking. The hand-wound natural rattan enhances the slip resistance and provides a pleasant tactile experience.
This package includes the sword and a silk sword bag. Please note that the wooden stand shown in the product images is not included.
Proper maintenance is essential – avoid storing the sword in humid environments, and when not in use, keep the blade clean and apply a coat of engine oil to prevent oxidation.
